Michelle Davis was an instructor at the Charleston West Virginia Job Corps managed by Management and Training Corporation (MTC).  She and her husband, Mervin filed a lawsuit against MTC alleging sexual harassment, discrimination and creating a hostile work environment.

Four people file discrimination suits against Jobs Corps Center

CHARLESTON — Four people have filed separate lawsuits against Management & Training Corp., claiming they were wrongfully terminated because of age, race, gender and/or physical handicap.

James Parker filed his age, racial and physical handicap complaint May 14 in Kanawha Circuit Court. Beverly Williams, the director of the Charleston Jobs Corps Center, was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Parker claims his employment was terminated because of his handicap, race and age. The work environment was hostile toward Parker to the extent that his ability to perform his duties was adversely affected, according to the suit.

Parker is seeking damages for loss of income and physical and emotional distress. His case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Charles King.
