Crime, Punishment and Collateral Damage at Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center

Read the Article from the Minnesota Spokesman-recorder:

It’s more of the same old story for Job Corps Centers and each one’s race to be number one.   In this case, when MINACT Corp. took over management of the St. Paul, Minnesota Job Corps center, MINACT did what any good corporation would do to “improve” its standing and bottom line — it started reducing its staff.  (Apparently, that makes for higher quality program.)

Grant Terrell, an employee of  the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center since 1994, was let go for crimes he committed prior to his being hired at Job Corps.  Read the convoluted story of what happens when management switches hands at a Job Corps Center and share your thoughts…  does it sound like MINACT is concerned about providing a quality program for kids who enter the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps or, is MINOCT solely focussed on numbers and profit?
